An online training series created for Kindy and early childhood educators to learn about multilingual communication development, created by our children's speech pathologist, Thida Hantun.

This 6-part video series guides you through everything you need to know about multilingual communication development in early childhood settings (scroll down for an overview of each lesson). It includes practical strategies—including modelling, recasting, and visuals—and guides you through planning targeted language support for individual children. Designed and created with the Australian Early Years Learning Framework and Kindy Uplift priority areas in mind, the content covered in this series gives you the tools to foster an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment for all children to thrive in!

Who is this training designed for?

This training is ideal for early childhood educators, Kindy teachers, learning support staff, and professionals working in early years settings. It’s also helpful for anyone supporting multilingual children’s communication and language growth. We've had other professionals share feedback that their learnings are useful to their work - including Allied Health Assistants and Speech Pathologists!

How long does the training take to complete?

The online training series takes up to 3 hours to complete (including lesson activities and reviewing the downloadable worksheets). However, this is a self-paced training series, so you don't have to complete this all at once! Each video is between 3 and 9 minutes long.

How do I access the online training?

After purchase, you'll have immediate access through your Podia account. You have 6 months from purchase date to complete the course.

How long will it take to get the online training?

You will have immediate access to the online training - simply login to your Podia account to get started.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes! You will be issued a certificate with your name and the name of the course after completing your final lesson.
